High-Impact Product Strategy
I synthesize qualitative insights and quantitative data to decode user behaviors and motivations — translating findings into evidence-based strategies that inform design and drive product evolution.
ABOUT
Mailani — Principal UX Researcher
Hello! I'm Mailani. Operating at the intersection of research and execution, I ensure that human insight is the primary engine for product growth. I work in close partnership with stakeholders to bridge the gap between user needs and technical or business constraints — making sure those two worlds speak the same language.
While my background includes service design and product delivery, my work is intentionally focused on UX research. This allows me to understand how decisions move through a team while remaining centered on the insights that shape them. I also explore how emerging technologies like AI affect the user experience, ensuring human judgment remains central as products scale.

"Products don't fail from lack of effort. They fail when decisions are made without a clear understanding of how they are actually experienced."
Approach
A Structured Path from Observation to Action
My research approach is deliberate and sequential — built to move teams from uncertainty to confident, grounded decisions. Each phase is designed to compound on the last, ensuring that insight is never just reported, but actively translated into direction.
Understand
I establish a clear view of how the product is experienced through structured research — including stakeholder alignment, user interviews, and usability evaluation. The focus is on uncovering what is actually happening, not what is assumed.
Analyze
I synthesize qualitative and quantitative inputs to identify patterns in behavior, friction points, and underlying drivers. This phase translates raw data into meaningful insight that reflects both user experience and product context.
Guide
I translate insight into clear, actionable direction — defining priorities, informing product decisions, and outlining next steps that align user needs with business objectives.

Why It Matters
Clarity Is the Competitive Advantage
Without structured insight, teams rely on assumptions, internal perspectives, or incomplete signals — leading to misaligned priorities, overlooked friction, and missed opportunities for meaningful improvement.
UX research brings clarity to what is happening in real use. When paired with thoughtful analysis and purposeful direction, it enables stakeholders to make informed decisions, focus on what matters most, and evolve their products with intention rather than instinct.

Structured insight doesn't slow product teams down — it ensures the effort they invest moves in the right direction.
